Welcome to 2017-2018 school year. Highland Park is a community school
housed in a historic building in the south side of San Antonio. A
school that expects all students to achieve at high levels, Highland
Park met the state’s standards in all indexes measured on the states
STAAR test last year and is the proud recipient of two academic
distinctions in both reading and post-secondary readiness.
Teachers at Highland Park continue to provide rigorous instructions
ensuring that each student achieves at least a year’s academic growth in
reading and math.
Parent engagement: No school can be truly great without involving
parents and Highland Park is no exception. PTO and daily volunteering in
the classrooms are just a few ways that parents stay engaged at
Extracurricular: choir, running club, school dances, festivals,
academic nights, as well as patrols are just a few activities that
students are welcome to participate and join after school.
