Storm Elementary was built in 1946 and named after Ollie Perry Storm, a teacher and administrator in elementary school education for SAISD.
Ms. Storm assisted in the creation of the first curriculum for non-English speaking children, the first program geared toward the education of limited English proficient students. Today Storm Elementary continues to lead the way as a pioneer in education.
The administration, faculty and staff at Storm Elementary are honored to carry out the request of Ms. Storm and the San Antonio Independent School District by “ensuring that all present and future personnel, privileged to serve at Storm Elementary, do so in the spirit of devotion to the educational principals characterized by Ms. Ollie Perry Storm.”
Storm Elementary is committed to creating choices and expanding learning opportunities for ALL students. We are proud to continue serving our students through a Two-Way Dual Language Program that was started in August 2017.
