Principal Information
Jackie Navar
I am honored to serve as your proud Principal of Storm Elementary. I am also a wife and mother to two amazing kiddos. We are huge foodies and enjoy doing anything and everythng together. My two favorite things to do are dance and read. Working with the Storm community is a gift I treasure and I promise to keep the best interest of our Brilliant Bobcats at the center of my role.
I am proud to say that I have served SAISD my entire career. My first days began in 2001 as a teacher at Will Rogers. During this time, I earned my Master of Arts in Education from Our Lady of the Lake University and soon after I was hired as the Campus Instructional Coordinator. This gave me the opportunity to work with teachers and students from various grade levels. This role taught me so much and helped me grow as a learner, teacher and leader. In 2012, I became a District Instructional Math Coach, during this same time I returned to school at Texas A&M San Antonio to earn my certification as an Administrator. Shortly after, I became Assistant Principal at Ogden Elementary. I was fortunate to learn from the teachers and leaders and was able to complete the Relay National Principals Academy Fellowship where the focus was in school culture, coaching and data. In 2018, I became the Proud Principal of Storm Elementary! The past 4 years have been amazing, and humbling. Students, parents, teachers, leaders and the San Juan Community are truly a family who work together.
Storm Is a place where scholars are happy to learn and have the desire to be challenged. It is my goal to create an environment where all are supported and feel valued. It is my belief that in working together, we will nurture, support and prepare each other for the ever-changing world and instill the belief that all voices matter. Together with hard work, determination and kind hearts we can do anything! Si, Se Puede!
