At Hawthorne Academy, we have used research, community input and a history of successful initiatives to develop a school model that will lead us to our ultimate goals - an exemplary education for all students and expanded opportunities for all members of the Hawthorne community. We provide students with a K-8 curriculum that includes diverse extracurricular offerings that allow students to practice the skills set and knowledge acquired here by applying them to real-world situations. Our purpose is to ensure that our students leave us with a resilient foundation that includes resources, abilities and inspiration to overcome obstacles, fulfill obligations and to not only achieve but to surpass their expectations.

School Day: Students may be dropped off at 7:30 AM. The school day begins at 7:45 AM when students are picked up from either the Cafeteria (K-4) or Gym (5-8) and head to their classes. Dismissal is at 3:15 PM. Parents are asked to use the Drop Off/Pick Up area on Ashby and to help maintain a safe environment for our students.
Bell Schedule: Students in grades K-2 are self contained. Students in grades 3-8 follow a schedule similar to the one below.
