Dear Parents,

On behalf of the staff at Gonzales ECEC, I am happy to welcome you to the 2017-2018 school year!  We are committed to providing exciting and hands-on learning experiences to our students.  Our full-day program will focus on developing children academically, physically and socially.  This is our first year as an early childhood center and we are proud to be the first staff to serve your children.

School starts at 7:30 AM and ends at 2:30 PM (tardy bell rings at 7:40 AM).  We offer early supervision beginning at 7:00 AM.  You may bring your child into the building or you may use our curb-side service until 7:30 AM (drive through the front lane of the school and we will open your car door and walk your child to class).  If you bring your child after 7:30 AM, please go to the main office and a Gonzales staff member will escort your child to the classroom.

At dismissal, you may pick up your child in the designated areas (please note that parking is limited) or you may use the curb-side service where staff will bring your child to your car (you will receive a card to place in your window).  Please provide photo identification when picking up your child.  For your reference, I have included a copy of the arrival/dismissal procedures and map for designated pick-up areas.

Please consider joining our school volunteer program as our students can greatly benefit from your involvement and contributions to the school’s program and its operations.  Soon you will get information about meeting to provide you with more information about volunteering.

In order to guide and support your child’s learning, please ensure that he/she attends school daily and arrives on time, ready for the day’s learning experience.  Our campus attendance goal is 96% or above.

On Thursday, August 31st at 3:00 PM we will be having our first Open House.  Teachers will review information with parents and showcase students’ work.  Please join us on that day.

The wonderful Gonzales staff and I feel privileged to be a part of this school family.  We thank you for your support and for allowing us to provide your child with a firm foundation for lifelong learning.

Sincerely,
Lisa Frost, Principal
