Lisa Frost-Heal
Lisa Frost-Heal is currently the proud principal of Gonzales Early Childhood Education Center where she serves alongside teachers in cultivating early learning and learning for life for our youngest scholars.
Mrs. Frost-Heal led the opening of the newly created Gonzales ECEC in June 2017. As a native of San Antonio, Texas, she is a graduate of the University of Texas at San Antonio where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a Minor in Spanish. After receiving her bachelor’s degree, she began to teach in San Antonio ISD at Brewer Elementary in 2003. During her teaching years she received a Master of Arts degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Texas at San Antonio. In June 2007 she began her first role as an administrator where she served as the assistant principal of Brewer Elementary for six years.
Mrs. Frost-Heal started her first principalship in June 2013 at Knox Early Childhood Education Center. She also served as principal of Sarah King Elementary School for three years (2014 to 2017). At her time serving Sarah King Elementary, she was selected to partner with the University of Virginia to implement best practices for turnaround schools. In June 2015 she led and coordinated the opening of the newly constructed Sarah King building as part of the bond that merged students from Brewer Elementary and Sarah King. Mrs. Frost-Heal served in the United States Air Force for six years after graduating from high school.
Mrs. Frost-Heal brings a diverse background in teaching strategies for early childhood and elementary school. She has a strong passion in ensuring that every student and teacher realizes their potential and creating positive opportunities for successful outcomes.
