I am a teacher of 31 years experience and counting...

I have attended UTSA, earning 3 teaching certifications in History, Composite Social Studies and Spanish. I am a product of SAISD having attended Maverick, Longfellow and Jefferson High School.  I have worked with Pep, dance and cheer squads for about 20 years off and on.  I have taught in New Jersey, and Texas.  My maternal family is from San Luis Potosi, Mexico and I have spent many moons there.  I specialize in Spanish Culture and Literature which are my passions.  I have found a new home here at Burbank where my father Roy Mendoza Jr, was the Principal back in the 80's.  I am honored to be teaching IB and AP Spanish classes plus I am the New Pep Director.  I am the proud mother of a US Marine.   I am Sponsoring the Spanish Honor Society & Spanish Club plus     I am the Director of the Orange Jackets Pep Squad
