Welcome CAST Tech inaugural class of 2021! I will be the English I teacher for the 2017-2018 school year. This will be my tenth year in education and during that time I have taught 9th-12th grade. I spent the last five years teaching English I at NEISD’s STEM Academy and my first four years teaching in my hometown of Pleasanton, Texas. I hold a Masters of Education in Educational Leadership from the University of Texas at Arlington, and bachelors in Psychology from St. Mary’s University.
I am actively working to create an English course that is unlike anything you have seen before! We will utilize the Project Based Learning model to drive our course’s content. Lessons and activities will be created using student voice and choice with a continued focus on real-world relevancy.
I have a soon-to-be five year old daughter named Remi who keeps me super busy! Outside of school hours, I enjoy camping, hiking, and geocaching and reading. I look forward to bringing my interests, and the interests of my students alive in the classroom.
