Hello Burbank Community!

I’m Coach Hernandez, and it’s a pleasure to be a GEC teacher here at Burbank High School. I will also be coaching Football and Boys Track & Field this upcoming season. I am honored to be part of a dedicated Burbank Staff that is committed to fostering every student’s success.

I am an SAISD alum with 13 years of experience in education. I have a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Texas - San Antonio in Kinesiology. I have also been an athletic coach for the majority of my career in both middle school and high school athletics. When I am not teaching or coaching, I enjoy going to concerts and sporting events, spending time with my kids (twins) Izabella and Isaiah and riding my bike.

My goal is to inspire and empower students to work hard, stay dedicated, and always strive for improvement. At Burbank, we are fortunate to have a team of dedicated educators who are passionate about helping every student succeed. We want all students to feel supported and valued, knowing that we are all here to help them grow and foster their education.
