Mucho gusto, my name is Eric Vasquez, and I teach English IV at Brackenridge. In this class we challenge and shape our view of the world, our community, and ourselves through the stories we read.
About me: I am from El Paso, Texas and speak Spanish, French, English and ASL. I am a writer at heart, and have been published in magazines and poetry journals in Texas! Currently I am working on a novel about curanderismo and the language of dreams!
In this class, although we will be reading some British literature, we also focus on Mexican-American literature, African-American literature, and other world literature to our expand our minds beyond San Antonio.
I value the importance of being able to communicate in a professional setting, and will challenge your student in sharpening their verbal, writing, and listening skills.

Mucho gusto, mi nombre es Eric Vasquez y enseño Inglés IV en Brackenridge. En esta clase, desafiamos y moldeamos nuestra visión del mundo, nuestra comunidad y nosotros mismos a través de las historias que leemos.
Aunque leeremos algo de literatura británica, también nos enfocamos en la literatura mexicoamericana, la literatura afroamericana y otra literatura mundial para expandir nuestras mentes más allá de San Antonio.
Valoro la importancia de poder comunicarse en un entorno profesional y desafiaré a su estudiante a perfeccionar sus habilidades verbales, de escritura, y de escucha.
