I grew up in San Antonio and I am a product of San Antonio ISD. As a child, I always wanted to be a teacher and my relationships with amazing music teachers definitely impacted my decision to pursue music education. This is my 4th year to teach.
I love to spend time with my family, play with my dog (Cody), read, travel, and be outdoors. I have two handsome nephews James (6) and Logan (4) that keep me busy.
I value children as performers as this impacts their ability to become successful in their future workplace.
My goal as an educator is to provide an opportunity for students to become stewards of their cultural heritage. I will be planning sequenced and spiraled instruction that allows children to become critical thinkers, creative human begins, and informed listeners.
I am glad to call Rhodes MS my home where I get to work with such amazing students, faculty, and administrators.
