Hola/Hello!  I am Profe Hilda Garcia and I am the Spanish teacher here at CAST MED High School. I am a graduate of Harlandale High School.  I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish and a minor in History from St. Mary's University.  I also have a Master's degree in Education in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in ESL from Our Lady of the Lake University.  I have been teaching Spanish for over twenty years and I have taught the following courses throughout the span of my career:  Spanish 1,Spanish 1P-AP, Spanish 2, Spanish 2P-AP, Spanish 3, Spanish 3P-AP and Spanish 4AP.

As students begin their educational journey here at CAST MED, they will be required to listen, read, write and speak in Spanish. Homework will include these four components of language and I ask that you ensure your student is consistent in doing homework and practicing Spanish at home and on the internet! 

I am delighted to be teaching here at CAST MED High School and l look forward to making our students the bilingual health professionals of the future.
