Finding a balance between being a teacher, a mother to 2 teenagers, a wife and doing all the things I love. I handle it by letting go of what I can’t control and focusing on what I can – food for thought. I am an educator with vision, passion and purpose. I love inspiring, empowering and impacting the lives of students from all different walks of life. Because I can. Because I must. Because it is my duty. I live for the day when students don’t think of me as “that math teacher.” I am so much more than that—to them and to myself. A teacher should be like a good parent; there when you need them, but able to let you learn from your mistakes. And I do that by connecting with the students on their level. The students always know where they stand with me.
