About: My name is Mrs. Garza, I grew up in Laredo Texas and have been living in San Antonio for over 19 years, I enjoy spending time with my family, nature hikes and yoga. I earned a Bachelors degree from UTSA in 2005 in Fine Art Painting with a minor in Art History. In 2014 I wrote a thesis on the history of the tile mural at the Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center by Jesse Trevino and earned a Master's in Bicultural & Bilingual Studies with a focus on Bicultural Studies. I am an artist, educator and advocate for the arts. This year I am excited to share and guide a creative experience for project based learning leading to original visual art ideas through a variety of media.
