My name is Krista Powell and I am one of the art teachers at Burbank. I have been teaching art since 2009 and I have taught every grade Kinder-12th! Before coming to Burbank I was the very first art teacher at Briscoe Elementary, which feeds into Burbank. 

My passion is helping students have new experiences of art and building their confidence to communicate their thoughts and ideas through art. Personally, I create abstract art using mixed media. I love working with a variety of supplies. (And teaching students how many different ways there are to create art!)
