My name is Lauren Pum, and this is my second year teaching at Lamar Elementary. Prior to that, I worked in East Central ISD, and I have experience teaching first and second grade. I am incredibly grateful to work at our beautiful school alongside colleagues who love to learn and are passionate about education. We are so thrilled to launch our charter this year! But truly the best part of Lamar is our students. Their mindset for learning and care for each other inspires me on a daily basis.
My goals as a teacher are to ensure that every student in our class feels a sense of belonging, experiences growth, and engages in authentic learning opportunities. I prioritize small-group instruction, so I can personalize experiences for all types of learners.
I grew up in Southern California and moved to Texas to attend Trinity University. San Antonio has become my second home, and I love living here! When I’m not teaching, I like to get outside (yay riverwalk!), spend hours in coffee shops with a good friend and a good book, and travel to see my family. I love cooking for people, writing, and podcasts.
Thank you for checking out my webpage. Please contact me with any questions you have about third grade. I love to hear from you!
