Dear Parents/Guardians,

I would like to welcome you and your child to 3rd grade!  My name is Maria I. Zamora.  I was born and raised in San Antonio, however, I was was gone for 22 years due to being a proud Air Force military spouse.  My husband and I have two wonderful sons ages 27 and 25.  This year will be my 7th year teaching at Neal Elementary.  My previous experience consists of teaching in New Mexico in kindergarten, first grade and third grade. 

Third grade is a challenge for most students.  It is a year when responsibility plays a huge role in a child's life.  This year my goal is for students to gain confidence in taking pride and ownership of the work they create.  With my help at school and yours at home, we can definitely make success happen!

I also realize that all students learn in their own unique way and so it is imperative that we keep good communication between school and home.  If you have any questions or concerns, please send me a note in the student folder, email me or contact the school.  I look forward to a great school year!
