Army Junior Reserved Officer Training Corps (JROTC)

I am 1SG Retired (R) Paul W. Russell, Sr., the Bulldog Battalion's Army Instructor (AI). I'm a native of Corpus Christi, Texas where I entered the Army in January 1980 as a Combat Medic (Medical Specialist or Army Medic). I attended Basic Training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina and Advance Individual Training (AIT) at Fort Sam Houston, Texas. I remained an Army Medic for my entire military career.

During my career I served as Combat Medic Squad Leader and Section Sergeant; Platoon Sergeant; Infantry Line Company Senior Medic; Medical Supply NCOIC; Ambulance and Treatment Platoon Sergeant; Army Medical Center Training and Operations Non-commissioned Officer (NCO); Student Medical Company First Sergeant; Combat Medic (Soldier Medic) Advanced Individual Training (AIT) First Sergeant.

My military assignments included several U.S. assignments, two in Germany and one Korea! My last assignment was Fort Sam Houston, Texas where I retired with just under 21 years. Upon competition of my active military service I was called on the serve as Principle of the Guardian Angel Performing Arts Public Charter Middle School after Hurricane Katrina hit the coast of Louisiana in 2005.

I continue to proudly wear the U. S. Army uniform for over 44th year, now as an Army JROTC instructor.

I am dedicated to “Motivating young people to be better citizens” and assisting our students and cadets with current and future success in rapidly changing world!

1st/5th Periods: 9:20 a.m. – 10:55 a.m. (95 min)

2nd/6th Periods: 11:00 a.m.-12:35 p.m. (95 minutes)

"C" Lunch: 12:40 p.m.-1:10 p.m.

3rd ("A" Days): 1:15 p.m. – 2:50 p.m. (95 min)

"B" Days - 7th Period: 1:15 pm – 2:50 pm (95 min) - Planning/Conference

4th/8th Periods: 2:55 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. (95 min)
