hi everyone! i am qiara alvarez, a first-year teacher stepping into the spotlight, and my story begins at the prestigious new york university's steinhardt school of culture, education, and human development – graduating class of 2022. i graduated with a bachelor of science degree in educational theatre, & i'm here to bring the magic of theater to the classroom!
passion illuminates the stage ♥
ever since i was a little girl, i loved the idea of "play." i adored using your imagination to play games like "house," or "school," getting to dress up as characters, and re-enacting music videos and movie scenes in my childhood living room. this led me to discovering the world of theater - a place where imagination and play come together to create a reflection of life on stage. new york city was the place to be for stage acting, so that's where i went! i spent all 4 years of high school, and 3 1/2 years of college pursuing my theater interests and learning more about how to share my passion with others.

i am in room 146, right behind our auditorium with direct connection to our stage. i am the co-director of our school's theatre program, and i am the sponsor for the international thespian society's troupe 3679! you can find me anywhere by (or on) the stage. if you are interested in theater or extracurricular theater activities - come and see me!

i was born and raised in fort stockton, tx and have been living in san antonio for a little over a year. i am currently engaged to my high school sweetheart, and will get married in october (future mrs. mireles coming your way!) i have a mini schnauzer named ollie and i love him so much. i also love pink, sweet tea, and my christmas bday.
