Hello. My name is William Thornton, welcome to Brackenridge High School Culinary Arts. I have been teaching since 2015 and I have taught at all levels. Here at Brackenridge High School, we have a 4 year program that prepares students for work in the culinary arts industry as well as giving them a foundation for higher education.
We have a dual credit partnership with St. Philip's College Culinary Arts Department. We are also partnered with the Culinary Institute of America at the Pearl. Students who choose to be in this program are usually done with 1 semester of college by graduation. We also have various competitions and events that students can participate in throughout the school year.
