Here is a big shout out to 24 SAISD track athletes who have advanced to the UIL Regional Track Meets. Eight SAISD high schools will be represented at the big meets. The top finishers at regionals will advance to the state track and field meet in Austin. In Class 5A, six high schools have advanced to region that include Brackenridge, Burbank, Edison, Highlands, Sam Houston and Lanier. In Class 4A, the Young Women’s Leadership Academy and the Young Men’s Leadership Academy qualified for region. The Class 5A region meet will take place April 19-20 at Heroes Stadium in San Antonio. The Class 4A region meet will take place April 19-20 in Kingsville.
