SAN ANTONIO (Sept. 9, 2025) — The San Antonio Independent School District (SAISD) is now accepting proposals from qualified organizations for the lease and repurposing of several vacant district-owned buildings and grounds. This initiative is part of the district’s broader commitment to community engagement and strategic use of public assets to serve both educational and community interests.

Through this opportunity, SAISD invites community-based partners to propose innovative uses for the vacant properties—so long as those uses align with community needs and further a District purpose. The primary goal is to transform these underutilized spaces into productive assets that benefit surrounding neighborhoods and advance the district’s mission.
