WHAT: The SAISD Foundation, in collaboration with Compudopt, is bridging the digital divide for local students by giving away free refurbished laptops to SAISD Class of 2025 college-bound graduates who are in need of a device for their higher education journey.

In a drive-up event for which students pre-registered, 50 laptops will be distributed to our youngest SAISD alumni who are planning to attend a two-year or four-year college or university. This initiative aims to ensure that every student has the tools they need to succeed as they take their next academic step. This is the second laptop giveaway event hosted by the SAISD Foundation this summer.

About the SAISD Foundation

A 501(c)(3) public charity with a vision that all students and teachers in San Antonio ISD thrive. Committed to expanding student experiences and increasing postsecondary success, annually, the SAISD Foundation invests approximately $4 million in SAISD students, teachers, and programs. Donations garnered from businesses, philanthropy and individuals allow the organization to respond to critical challenges facing students and add value to in-school and out-of-school programming beyond what state public funding can provide to ensure the approximately 44,000 students in San Antonio ISD have a robust, 21st-century education.
