SAISD celebrates completion of major Bond 2020 upgrades at award-winning high school
WHAT: San Antonio ISD will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Lanier High School to celebrate the completion of its Bond 2020-funded upgrades to the campus. These improvements are part of the district’s broader efforts to modernize facilities and enrich the student learning environment. The event will include student performances, a ceremonial ribbon cutting and student-led campus tours.

This ceremony marks the successful delivery of Bond 2020 commitments to Lanier, part of a larger districtwide effort to modernize and improve SAISD facilities. These investments create enriched academic and extracurricular environments that promote student growth and community pride.
Major highlights of the completed work include:
· Renovated library with study spaces;
· Renovated auditorium complete with new seating, lighting, and sound system;
· Renovated Alumni Center including concession stand and restroom upgrades; and
· A new central HVAC plant
SAISD’s design contractor, LPA Design Studios received the Caudill Award for their work on the Bond 2016 Lanier project. The Caudill Award is presented by the Texas Association of School Administrators (TASA) and the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) and is the highest distinction in Texas school design. The designs were praised for their incorporation of natural lighting, flexible learning spaces, and the incorporation of cultural murals.
