Tafolla Middle School in SAISD to celebrate major Bond 2020 upgrades and H-E-B/Kellogg’s grant with ribbon-cutting ceremony


WHAT: San Antonio ISD will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Tafolla Middle School to celebrate the completion of its Bond 2020-funded upgrades to the campus. These improvements are part of the district’s broader efforts to modernize facilities and enrich the student learning environment. Tafolla Middle School has also received a $5,000 athletics grant from Kellogg’s & H-E-B, an initiative to help keep kids active by supporting middle school sports programs. The event will include student performances, a ceremonial ribbon-cutting and student-led campus tours.

This ceremony marks the successful delivery of Bond 2020 commitments to Tafolla Middle School, part of a larger districtwide effort to modernize and improve SAISD facilities. These investments create enriched academic and extracurricular environments that promote student growth and community pride.

Major highlights of the completed work include:

  • New gymnasium;

  • Renovated existing gym including restrooms, offices, and storage spaces;

  • Renovated fine arts building with updates to the classrooms and mariachi space; and

  • Auditorium upgrades including stage, lighting, and curtains.
