The SAISD Rising Star Award is presented to the top first-year teachers in SAISD. Principals nominate their finest first-year teachers who have already demonstrated excellent practices. Rising Star new teachers demonstrate leadership and embody the SAISD Core Values and traditions.
May 7 (Thurs) – SAISD Teacher of the Year Awards
6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Alamo Convocation Center, 110 Tuleta Drive, 78212
All SAISD campus Teachers of the Year will be honored at a district-wide celebration of teaching excellence. The Teacher of the Year award honors teachers who have been in the profession for at least three years and who excel in academic success, school leadership, and service to the school community. Each school’s Teacher of the Year was selected by a vote of his or her peers. The district will also crown the Distinguished Teachers of the Year for elementary, middle school and high school categories.
