June 26, 2026 – San Antonio ISD today announced significant progress toward student success, following the official release of graduation reports from the Texas Education Agency (TEA) for the Class of 2025.

For the Class of 2025, SAISD’s on-time, four-year graduation rate increased from 87.3% to 90.0%, marking a major milestone as the district meets its long-term goal of achieving a 90% graduation rate or higher.

“This accomplishment reflects the collective effort of students, families, educators, and community partners working together to ensure every student crosses the stage ready for their future, and we are incredibly proud of this milestone,” said Superintendent Jaime Aquino. “Reaching a 90% graduation rate is more than a number, it represents opportunity, perseverance, and a shared belief that every student deserves a strong finish and a bright future.”

An additional highlight from the graduation data includes:

* The 4-year dropout rate decreased from 8.9% to 7.6%, continuing SAISD’s success in maintaining rates below the district’s goal of 10% or less for longitudinal dropouts.

Strong Performance Across High Schools

All seven traditional high schools in SAISD demonstrated improvement in their on-time graduation rates. Notably:

* Burbank High School increased its graduation rate from 93.4% to an outstanding 98.1%.

* Four schools, Brackenridge, Burbank, Edison, and Jefferson High Schools, continue to achieve graduation rates exceeding 90%, reflecting consistent excellence across campuses.

College, Career and Military Readiness Continues to Rise

In addition to graduation success, SAISD saw continued growth in College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR):

* The overall CCMR rate increased from 89% to 91% for the Class of 2025.

* 10 of 17 campuses improved their CCMR outcomes or maintained a perfect 100% rating.

* Both Travis Early College High School and St. Philip’s Early College High School once again achieved an exceptional 100% CCMR rate, demonstrating sustained excellence in preparing students for postsecondary success.

The superintendent emphasized that SAISD remains committed to continuous improvement, ensuring that every student has access to high-quality learning experiences, strong support systems, and clear pathways to success after graduation.

“These results show that our graduates are not only finishing strong, but they are also leaving our schools prepared for what comes next,” Aquino said. “Whether college, career, or military service, our students are ready to lead and succeed."
