Sept 18 (Fri) – 2026 IB World Bowl Feeder School Night

The annual IB World Bowl is back in Alamo Stadium, highlighted by the district football game between the Jefferson Mustangs and the Burbank Bulldogs. This is more than a football game. It is a celebration of two proud communities and SAISD’s two International Baccalaureate powerhouse comprehensive high schools—both open-enrollment, in-district charter schools. Plus, the feeder elementaries, academies and middle schools for both Jefferson High School and Burbank High School will be showcased in a pregame parade of students, staff and families.

Sept 22 (Tues) – SAISD Foundation kicks off 20th grant-making season with surprise $5,000 check

The SAISD Foundation will surprise a teacher with a $5,000 grant, the first gift to kick off its 20th year of grant distributions. At the same event, a representative from Amazon will announce a $20,000 investment to fund a future SAISD Foundation grant, in honor of the foundation's 20 years of impact. Since 2006, the SAISD Foundation has invested more than $41 million in the district's students, teachers and programs.

Sept. 24 (Thurs) SAISD to hold Mini Job Fair for Custodians and Porters
