Burbank Library Collection

 

The Burbank library has over 10,000 books available for student & staff check out.  The library collection has been genrefied for easier browsing. 
There are 17 fiction sections available and the nonfiction section is set up much like a bookstore. 

The Burbank catalog can be found in Class Link as the Insignia Library Catalog.

Once in the catalog, you can search by keyword, title, author and variety of other options.

Once you have search results you will need to limit results to Burbank High School by clicking "Burbank" and then hitting the refresh button.

The results will show you in what genre the book can be found (if title is Fiction)

 

Sora eBooks

Online eBooks from SAISD and the San Antonio Public Library catalog can be found in SORA which is in the library books folder in Class Link.

Sora defaults to the SAISD catalog, but you can also add the San Antonio Public Library catalog as well.

To add their catalog, click on the drop down menu in the upper right corner and then click the + Add Library Button.  Search for San Antonio and select the San Antonio Public library to add.

Bibliotech

Bibliotech is the Bexar County Digital library that is available to students and staff via Class Link within the "Library Books" folder.  Not only are books available, but they also have magazines, newspapers, movies, music, and online courses.

Search in any of the options provided once you are logged in.

Gale eBooks

Gale eBooks are academic books mostly covering core classroom subjects.  It can be accessed through Class Link and the Library Books folder.

Once logged in you can search for books from a variety of categories.

Digital Creation Tools

The following tools can be found in Class Link.

canva icon

Canva is a robust creation program for graphics, flyers, posters, videos, websites, and white board spaces.  The education version offers many upgraded features including premium templates and images.  Canva also allows users to simultaneously edit designs.   It integrates with several other apps that allows for more content creation.  

adobe express icon

Adobe Express is the replacement for Adobe Spark.  It is free to use and the premium features are available with education accounts.  It allows for the creation of graphics including flyers, collages, posters, worksheets, web pages, and videos.  It has photo and video editing tools along with the ability to do PDF conversions.

WeVideo is an online video editing tool the option for screen recording and special effects. The free plan allows for publishing up to 5 minutes of video a month that includes a watermark.
