Brandy Lewis
Brandy Lewis currently serves as School Leader at Cameron Elementary, an intercity school in the heart of San Antonio. She has a relentless passion for children and is committed to improving the educational and life outcomes for underserved youth. Ms. Lewis has been an educator in the San Antonio Independent School District for 13 years. Prior to becoming the School Leader of Cameron Elementary School, Ms. Lewis served in various leadership roles within the district to include: Instructional Coach, Instructional Dean, Peer Assistant Teacher, General Education Classroom Teacher and Special Education Teacher.
Ms. Lewis’s professional goal is to ensure that all scholars have access to an equitable, high-quality education. Throughout her years of service, Ms. Lewis has significantly contributed to the social-emotional and academic success of scholars, thus positively impacting campus academic ratings by: modeling, coaching and supporting research-based best teaching practices, creating effective instructional systems, designing and implementing curriculum and high-quality lessons, and facilitating meaningful professional development. Ms. Lewis completed her undergraduate studies at Palo Alto College (AA) and The University of Texas at San Antonio (B.A.). She was a Trinity University scholarship recipient, where she earned a Master of Education in Educational Leadership.
Ms. Lewis was born and raised in San Antonio, TX and is the mother of two amazing children, Xion and Xya. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, watching thriller movies, reading, and arts and crafts.
