I'm Laura Girard and this is my 4th year as assistant principal at Burbank High School. :)

Before this, I was a 6th Grade Math Teacher at Whittier Middle School in San Antonio, TX. I have also previously taught 6th and 7th grade math in Atlanta, GA and Austin, TX. 

I attended The University of Texas at Austin (Go Longhorns!) as an Accounting major. After working in the field for a year, I realized I wanted to pursue a more rewarding career, and I began the process of becoming a teacher and, over time, administrator. It was the best decision I have ever made!

I believe with hard work and consistency every student has the potential to do incredible things, and every teacher has the potential to help positively shape their students' lives. 

I look forward to working with you to teach the students in our community!
