Welcome to the 2020-2021 School Year!
I am glad to be back and excited to begin my fourth year teaching at Sam Houston High School. Courses I will be teaching this year include: Principles of Business, Marketing & Finance, Business Information Management I, II and Practicum in Business Management. Along with teaching, I also help out our Sam Houston Robotics Team AfterMath.
Education is the foundation of success and life will always be a learning experience! As an educator, my hope is to develop today's children into knowledgeable, respectful and responsible citizens in hopes of them giving back to their community and making a difference.
I am a first generation high school and college graduate. I earned my Bachelors Degree in Computer Information Systems from the University of Texas - Pan American, now the University of Texas - Rio Grande Valley. I just finished earning my Masters of Science in Bilingual Education from Texas A&M University - San Antonio.
I have worked with the Internal Revenue Service and major insurance companies such as Farmers Insurance and The Hartford before changing careers and becoming an educator.
I enjoy spending time with family, friends and traveling!
