My name is Benjamin Femmel. This will be my 26th year of teaching, but only my second as a Burbank Bulldog! I am incredibly excited about the opportunity to be a part of one of the most historically important high schools in San Antonio.

I was born in Indiana and moved to San Antonio right before 7th grade and have been here ever since. I graduated from UTSA back in 1997 and have been teaching since then. Teaching has played an important role in my family: my grandmother was a Teacher’s Assistant, both of my parents were teachers and my wife is a teacher! We also have a brilliant daughter who will be a Senior in high school this year and plans to pursue a degree and job in the nuclear fusion industry.

My schedule is:

1st Period = Reading I

2nd Period = Academic Dean

3rd Period = Academic Dean

4th Period = English I & II PLC

5th Period = Reading II & III

6th Period = Academic Dean

7th Period = Academic Dean

8th Period = Academic Dean
