Growing up in a Gourmet Food business I was immersed in a multi-cultural environment which led me to learn food product knowledge and techniques that I now call menu engineering. I was blessed that I could go to school and graduate with a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management from the University of North Texas. I have worked in many different roles in the Food Service Industry. From Owning my Own restaurant for 22 years, to working in a University Cafeteria, to being a Food Service Manger in a Hospital, teaching at South Texas College, and opening up two Culinary programs at two different Correctional Facilities.
I know that my skills and expertise will help inspire students looking to expand their culinary horizons and even establishing a career in the Food Service Industry. Many blessings to you and your family.
