Once upon a time there was a little girl who lived on a farm and tamed wild cats and horny toads.  She named all the farm animals and taught her brothers to skip and climb trees.  She spent hours hanging upside down from her knees and sitting on the clothesline pole.  Most of the time she had a book in her hands and would read to the world.  Books opened the world to her.  That little girl grew up believing that everyone should be able to be the best they can be and that reading should be a gift available to all.  That little girl loved to learn and to share knowledge and learning.

I still love cats, horny toads, trees and reading.  I still believe that everyone should be the best they can be and that reading is a gift for all.  I still love knowledge and love sharing the learning experience.

As the Middle School GEC teacher, I work to be the General Education Connection between Special Education Students and General Education.   I also teach reading intervention classes.  Middle school students expand their reading abilities through the Language Live program and Elementary students build their reading skills through RGR (Really Great Readers).

The most important thing I teach is that everyone is valuable and that everyone can learn.  To see a student discover joy in learning is what makes my world happy.
