Course Description: Leadership, Education, and Training (LET) I.

Status: First Year Student (Grades 9 – 12).

The JROTC Program focuses on the development of better citizens through the instruction of skills in leadership, citizenship, life success, geography, and wellness, in a structured interactive environment. It is a cooperative effort on the part of the United States Army and San Antonio Independent School District to provide Brackenridge High School students with opportunities for total development. The course provides elective credits for graduation and allows students to earn equivalency or substitution credit from JROTC courses and apply that credit toward physical education courses required for graduation. Satisfactory completion of the program can lead to advanced placement credit in a college/university Senior ROTC program or advanced rank in the Armed Forces.
