Fabiola Rivera
Fabiola Rivera is an experienced educator with a career spanning 15 years in the field of education. She is bilingual, which allows her to effectively communicate with and support a diverse student population. Rivera has served in various roles throughout her career, including math teacher, instructional dean, assistant principal, and associate principal in SAISD. She has worked at Wheatley Middle School, Lanier High School, and most recently, the Advanced Learning Academy. Being a product of SAISD herself, Rivera brings a unique perspective and understanding of the district's culture and community. She holds a bachelor's degree from Our Lady of the Lake University and a master's degree in educational leadership from Trinity University which she completed through the Tomorrow's Leaders Program. Her diverse experiences and educational background have equipped her with a well-rounded skill set to effectively lead and support students, teachers, and the school community. As the newly appointed principal of Smith Elementary, Rivera is committed to leading by example, fostering collaboration among staff, and empowering students to achieve their full potential. She values open communication, transparency, and creating a positive school culture that nurtures a love for learning.
