Estimados padres/guardianes de familia, 

Me llamo Ana Montoya y soy la profesora de pre-kinder de lenguaje dual aquí en Smith ES.

Nací en Medellin, Colombia y emigré a los EEUU con mis padres en el 2004. !Crecí en San Antonio y me siento orgullosa de llamar esta ciudad mi hogar!

Recibí mi técnica en educación de San Antonio College y mi licenciatura de la universidad Texas Tech. En este momento estoy recibiendo mi maestría en educacion bilingüe en UTSA. Siento una pasión por aprender y así fue como encontré esta hermosa carrera en educación.

¡Este será mi tercer año en Smith ES y estoy muy ansiosa por empezar este nuevo año escolar con sus estudiantes!

Sé que estos son momentos difíciles, pero sé que con optimismo, perseverancia, y mucha comunicación, ¡lo superaremos!

¡Tenemos un gran año por delante!

Hello parents/guardians, 

My name is Ana Montoya and I am thePre-K Dual Language teacher here at Smith ES!

I was born in Medellin, Colombia and immigrated to the USA with my parents in 2004. I was raised in San Antonio and feel proud to call this city my home. 

I have my Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education from San Antonio College, and graduated from Texas Tech University with my Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood-6th Grade Education. I am currently receiving my master's degree in bilingual education at UTSA. I have a passion for learning which is how I found this beautiful career in education!

This will be my third year at Smith ES and I am so excited to begin this school year with your students!

I know these are trying times, but I know with open communication, optimism, and perseverance, we will get through it! 

We have a great year ahead of us!
