My name is Daniel Franco. I am the Whittier Mariachi Director and the Fine Arts Department Chair. I was born and raised out of the old West Texas town of El Paso. I have been with SAISD for 8 years. San Antonio has been very good for me and my family. I am very proud to be the Director of Mariachi Gavilán. The mariachi has had the honor of playing for Texas Governor Abbott, Fox News 29 Christmas Special, SA Community Pride, the Raul Jimenez Thanksgiving Dinner, and a frequent participant of the Ford Fiesta Mariachi Festival.
