This is my second year teaching 8th grade Math and Algebra 1 at Poe Middle School and my 14th year teaching secondary mathematics.
I am married and have two daughters. My wife is a science teacher and my oldest daughter is a Junior at The University of Richmond in Virginia while my youngest daughter is a Senior at Harlandale ISD.
I am a product of SAISD schools. Cotton ES (K-3) Travis ES (4-5) Twain MS and Edison HS Class of 1997.
I graduated from Texas A&M University - College Station (WHOOP!) in 2002 with a Bachelor of Arts in History.
I have a Master of Arts in Teaching Secondary Mathematics from The University of the Incarnate Word in 2008 and a Master of Arts in Educational Administration from Texas A&M University - San Antonio in 2017.
I enjoy teaching and my goal is for everyone to be better in math today than you were yesterday and apply that goal to all aspects of life.
I also like the game of chess and teaching people how to play and eventually compete in chess tournaments. My goal is to organize district tournaments and have students compete in local and regional chess tournaments.
