Welcome Students and Families!
My name is Elizabeth Villarreal but everyone calls me “Mrs. V.” I have been teaching science for 6 years and I am excited to start my 7th year at Thomas Jefferson High School.
I was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. I graduated from Providence High School and studied surgical technology. For almost twenty years, I was an ophthalmic technician for an Ophthalmologist. In January of 2003 I married my best friend and soul mate Arthur Villarreal. We have fourteen year old son Ezekiel who will enter the eighth grade. In 2005, I went back to school and obtained my teaching certificate. I received both my Bachelor and Master’s degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio in May 2009 and in December 2011. I have always been interested in science and this year I will join the science department here at Thomas Jefferson High School.
My hobbies include dancing with my husband, swimming with my son and hanging out with my family and friends. Family is very important to me and I am honored to be part of Jefferson's family. My goal is to be a positive role model and educator for your student to succeed.
Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your students’ educational development. I look forward to our new journey together and our new school year.
