Greetings! I am the 5^th grade language arts and reading teacher.  This is my 8^th year teaching at Mission Academy.  Prior to my teaching career I was a Human Resources clerk for SAISD.   While I was there I finished college and earned my Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences.  I chose to teach because I wanted to follow the footsteps of the wonderful teachers in my life who saw my potential and encouraged me to believe in myself.  I am the person I am today because of their dedication and motivation.  My goal is to instill a love of learning to all my students and encourage them to pursue their talents and seek opportunities for success in and out of the classroom. 

A Little About Me: 

I am an avid reader and artist.  I love listening to music and watching baseball.  My favorite teams are the San Francisco Giants and Texas Rangers.  What I enjoy most is spending time with my husband and our two boys.  I cannot forget about my dog, Jacy. She's a Catahoula mix who enjoys car rides, playing catch, cuddling on the sofa and baseball.
