Hello Schenck Families!! I am so excited that you have chosen to bring your child to Kate Schenck Elementary. We are super excited to be a Dual Language school! I know your child will have wonderful learning experiences at our school.
Let me introduce myself and tell you a little about me. My name is Kimberly A. Gutierrez and I have been a teacher at Kate Schenck Elementary for 22 years. I am starting my 23rd year and I have been a Kindergarten teacher for all of my teaching career. I absolutely love my Kindergarten Kiddos!! Teaching young learners is a true joy for me.
I received my Bachelors Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a Specialization in Early Childhood Education from The University of Texas at San Antonio, GO RUNNERS!!. I am also proud to say that I am a product of SAISD schools, having attended James Madison Elem., Horace Mann Middle School (now Young Women's Leadership Academy), and Thomas Jefferson High School.
My husband and I have two beautiful children and we love to watch our SPURS and the Dallas Cowboys!!
I know that this year will be fun and exciting for your child. You will see your child learn and grow so much throughout the course of the year.
