Hello, my name is Ms. Cortez and welcome to my second grade class.  I have been a teacher for nineteen years and eighteen years have been at Kate Schenck Elementary.  First and most importantly I will dedicate myself to your child's academic success.  Next, I will prepare your child to become a self-sufficient thinker in all subjects.    In conclusion, there is nothing that can hold your child back from becoming a successful student in second grade and ready for third grade.
