Hi! My name is Marisela Jimenez. Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year! I teach Head Start at Kate Schenck Elementary. This is my 6th year teaching with SAISD. I am very excited to be teaching another year in my community!
I earned my Associates of Art in Teaching and in Liberal Studies from Palo Alto College here in San Antonio. After graduation, I began working for my kids' elementary school for 4 years with SAISD as an Instructional Assistant. While working with the district, I earned my degree from the University of the Incarnate Word with a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies with a double minor in Reading and Special Education.
I enjoy the great outdoors and take every opportunity to go camping, fishing, hiking, and sky-watching. I'm looking forward to working with our families and students for a successful school year.
