At Edison High School, we believe that every student is capable of achieving at high levels.

We provide rigor across a variety of programs to ensure that students are being challenged in their area of interest.


Students can take advantage of Edison’s multiple endorsements:      

  • Business Arts & Humanities    
  • Health Professions & STEM   
  • Public Service (Law, Fire and Education)                 
  • Multi-Disciplinary Studies

These Endorsements are organized into three Smaller Learning Communities where each SLC has their own Administrator, Counselor, and team of teachers. In our Health Professions Magnet Program, students can choose between a certification as a Dental Assistant, Pharmacy Technician, Emergency Medical Technician, or Certified Nursing Assistant.

We offer many extracurricular activities for your children to become involved in: Volleyball, Football, Basketball, Tennis, Cross Country, Track, Swimming, Diving, Water Polo, Soccer, Softball/Baseball, Golf, Athletic Trainers, Band, Choir, Mariachi, Jazz Band, Art Club, JROTC, Dance, Cheer, Pep Squad, Theater/Drama Club, DECA, Academic UIL & Decathlon, National Honor Society, Police Explorers, Engineering/Robotics Club, Student Council, Gamma Sigma, National Spanish Honor Society and Spanish Club.

As an educator in the San Antonio Independent School District (SAISD), I have served the Edison High School community since 1993.  I served on the board of the VIA Metropolitan Transit Authority, am a Commissioner for the San Antonio Housing Authority (SAHA) and a member of the Texas A&M Principals’ Center.

As a proud product of SAISD, I was inducted into the Fox Tech High School Distinguished Graduate Hall of Fame. In 2004, I was honored as Principal of the Year by the Texas Education Agency Education Service Center, Region 20 and the SAISD Parent, Teacher, Student Association (PTSA). I have a bachelor’s in Political Science from St. Mary's University and a master’s in education from Our Lady of the Lake University.
