TECHS EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES*

Academic Decathlon/Octathlon Team - Compete at the District and Regional levels for awards and scholarship opportunities.

Art Club - Express individuality through the creation of artwork, attend workshops by local artists, and give back to our community, school, and others, using talents and gifts in unique ways.

AVID Leadership Team - Serve as peer mentors, academic tutors, and role models while demonstrating AVID strategies to lead and promote the success of students on campus.

Book Club - Engage with a vibrant community of students who share a passion for reading and literature-centered discussions and experiences.

Chess Club - Whether learning the fundamentals of the game or improving skills and strategies, engage in strategic thinking and relieve stress through a shared hobby.

Computer Science - Meet with like-minded students to develop coding skills and explore topics like AI and web & application development.

Cyber Samurai - Train and compete using principles of cybersecurity while developing technical skills and the ability to secure personal information in a modern, digital world.

Environmental Club - Raise awareness about environmental issues and reduce environmental impact as individuals, a school community, and as citizens of the world.

Gamma Sigma - Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place.

Model United Nations - Acting as delegates, students use teamwork and problem-solving skills to negotiate resolutions for international relations and diplomacy.

Mu Alpha Theta Honor Society - Promote scholarship and inspire keen interest in mathematics.

NHHS (National Hispanic Honor Society) - Explore Hispanic culture and instill pride through advanced learning, field trips, and volunteerism.

NHS (National Honor Society) - Connect with other Travis scholars recognized for high academic achievement to jointly elevate a campus culture of leadership, service, scholarship, and character.

Panther Fit Club - Promote and encourage healthier lifestyles and improved endurance, strength, and flexibility through physical activity.

Travis PTSA (Parent Teacher Student Association) - Advocate for family empowerment and engagement through inclusiveness on campus with Executive Board positions (elected and appointed) allowing students to participate in leadership roles.

Robotics Team - Collaborate to design and build a robot that competes against other teams.

She’s The First - This Global Girl’s Rights organization was founded to “make sure girls everywhere are educated, respected, and heard”.

Spanish Club - Celebrate diversity through awareness and appreciation of the Spanish language, food, heritage, history, culture, arts, and entertainment.

Speech and Debate - Learn to develop and present structured arguments on a specific topic through participation in organized debates and mock trials.

Student Council - Each grade level has elected officers and representatives who collaborate to address campus issues and organize school activities and events.

TMAGS (Travis Manga Anime and Gaming Society) - Organize sports competitions and promote the appreciation and enjoyment of anime and manga as art forms as well as exploration, awareness, and understanding of Japanese culture.

Venture Scouts - Acquire life skills, explore the world around you, and gain experiences that prove valuable wherever your future takes you, all while having a blast with friends.

Yearbook Club - Develop photography skills and explore graphic design, while collaborating together to create a memorable, annual campus yearbook.

 

Family Engagement is important to every scholar’s educational experience and academic success.

Travis ECHS has two parent leadership groups.  We welcome and value your involvement.

*Travis scholars enrolled in college are eligible to participate in SAC clubs, organizations, and intramural sports.
