My name is Robbie Harris, and I am honored to serve as the new principal of Travis Early College High School. With over eighteen years in education, I have a strong background in dual credit programs, cybersecurity education, and social emotional learning.
My educational journey began at St. Philip’s College, where I earned an Associate of Arts in Mathematics. Building on this foundation, I completed my Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies at Texas State University, followed by my Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Our Lady of the Lake University.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of serving in various roles within SAISD. I started out as a math teacher, department chair, and basketball coach at Tafolla Middle School. I bring other experiences serving as, dual credit adjunct faculty, and principal, each role deepening my commitment to student success!
My involvement in initiatives like the San Antonio College CTE CyberNet Academy highlights my dedication to preparing students for future careers. This initiative sponsored by this U.S. Department of Education has equipped me with an opportunity to assist countless students in obtaining paid internships and apprenticeships. I also was granted the opportunity to participate as a panelist at the SXSW Education Conference, discussing critical issues such as "Strengthening the Cybersecurity Workforce" alongside San Antonio College faculty and the National Security Agency.
I am excited to be a part of “Panther Nation” and look forward to contributing to Travis Early College High School’s legacy of academic excellence. Together, let’s continue to inspire and empower our students to achieve their highest potential!
Go Panthers Go!
