Dr. Gloria Martinez
Dr. Gloria Martinez is the proud principal of Lorenzo De Zavala Elementary in SAISD. She graduated from Our Lady of the Lake University with a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies with a Specialization in Education and Spanish. Dr. Martinez also holds a Master’s degree and a Doctoral degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Texas at San Antonio. Dr. Martinez has been in the field of education since 2000 and has served as a Bilingual teacher, Literacy teacher, Instructional Facilitator, Instructional Officer, Assistant Principal, Principal of Loma Park Elementary, Principal of Sarah King Elementary, Director of School Support in Pleasanton ISD and Principal of De Zavala Elementary. Dr. Martinez is also an Adjunct Professor with the University of Texas at San Antonio where she teaches the Master’s Program in Educational Leadership.
Dr. Martinez fosters meaningful relationships with her students, teachers, staff, parents and community to create a sense of trust and pride and success for all. She brings a wealth of knowledge in instructional rigor and dual language education. Dr. Martinez is a lifelong learner who values education and believes every student can learn and can reach their highest level of potential. She advocates that our students deserve the very best.
