Hello Will Rogers Academy,

I am so fortunate to have the opportunity to become a part of the Will Rogers Family! The welcome I have received has been beyond measure. I would like to take this opportunity to share a little about myself both professionally and personally as well as our vision for Will Rogers Academy. I am a wife and mother of five children - three girls and two boys. My children range in age from 6 to 24 and keep me busy. We are actively involved with school, sports, and scouts. I have been an educator for 24 years; spanning all grade levels from high school, middle school, and elementary. I have 16 years of experience as an administrator and been part of the SAISD community for the past 6 years. Will Rogers Academy is a very special campus and I am privileged to have the pleasure of serving the students, families, and community. We have plans to bring additional academic opportunities for students, additional extra-curricular activities, as well as more opportunities for parent and community engagement. Will Rogers is an amazing school with amazing staff and students - it is our vision to be an "A" rated campus. We are Will Rogers Academy!

Greetings Will Rogers Academy,

I am thrilled and excited to be part of a growing community. A little about my personal and professional life. To begin with, I have been married for 19 years. I have 3 daughters who are 17, 13, and 7 years old. I am originally from El Paso TX, but moved to San Antonio after high school. I graduated from Bible school with a BS in church ministries. Right after graduation I enrolled in an Alternative Certification Program and began my teaching career in 2001. I began teaching 1^st grade bilingual then moved up to 4^th, 5^th, 6^th and 7^th moving between monolingual, bilingual and dual language. Within this time span I received my MA in School Administration and MA in school counseling. Two years ago, I accepted a position as a Social Emotional Counselor, and now I have moved into this new and exciting administrative role. Thank you, Will Rogers Family, for your acceptance and support.

Hello Will Roger Academy Bears!

I am thrilled to have been chosen to be one of your Assistant Principals. I am originally from Rio Grande City, Texas, located in the Rio Grande Valley. I moved to San Antonio five years ago to continue my educational career as a teacher with SAISD. Shortly after beginning my teaching career I obtained my Masters in Education Administration from Concordia University of Texas and soon became Principal certified. I am so happy to now be apart of Will Rogers Academy and look forward to working with the new admin team as well as the students, staff and parents. Family is the most important thing to me and Will Rogers Academy is now part of my family. I look forward to the work we will all be doing and I know Will Rogers Academy will be successful for years to come!
